Kettle Moraine is done and thus the second race in the five raceMidwest Super Slam is in the books. It turns out Kettle Moraine showcases the Ice Age Trail and the geology of the final glaciation of the North American continent, fittingly called the Wisconsin Glaciation since there is so much evidence of that period found in Wisconsin. There are deep mature forests, wide open sections of prairie, ponds and lakes, wildflowers aplenty, birds, frogs, and lots of expansive sky on this course. The runner support here is unmatched with lots of helpful volunteers and stations fully supplied with fresh food, ice, bug spray, sunblock, and any thing else you could need. This classic is a classic!
